This site exists to give people a number they can order against, so a wrong number is the most serious thing that can go wrong here. If something does not add up, it gets looked at and it gets fixed — no form to fill in, no ticket queue, just an email that a person reads.

Worth reporting:

• Calculation errors. A result that does not match the arithmetic, a unit that converts wrongly, a total that changes when it should not, or a figure in one of the coverage tables that is off.
• Density values that look wrong. If the tons-per-cubic-yard preset for a material is well outside what yards in your area actually quote, say so — and if you can, say which material and what your supplier bills by. Real numbers from real invoices are the best possible correction.
• Anything else that is simply incorrect. A depth recommendation that contradicts local practice, a description of a stone grade that does not match how it is sold where you are, a broken link, or a page that misbehaves on your browser or phone.

An error report is most useful when it says which page you were on, what you typed in, what the calculator gave you, and what you expected instead. That is usually enough to reproduce the problem in a minute or two. Corrections that hold up get applied to the page.

Suggestions

Requests for new calculators, extra material presets, additional units, a coverage table at a depth that is missing, or a clearer explanation somewhere — all of it is useful, and the list of what to build next is shaped mostly by what people ask for. Telling us what you were trying to work out when the site could not help is more valuable than a feature name.

General questions

Questions about how a calculator arrives at its figures, what a density preset assumes, or how to approach an odd-shaped job are fine to send too. What we cannot do is quote you a price, recommend a supplier, or act as an engineering or design service — we do not sell material and have no view of your site. The about page covers the method behind the numbers, and the terms of use set out the limits of the estimates.

Email [email protected]. There is deliberately no contact form on the site: these are static pages with no backend, which is also why nothing you type into a calculator ever leaves your browser. A plain email is the whole mechanism.

Please write in English, and be aware that this is a small site run in the gaps between other work — every message is read, but a reply may take a while, and messages that need no answer may not get one. Press, licensing and legal matters can use the same address.
